Standard Chutes

Standard garbage chute performs all basic functions of a garbage chute including collecting wastes from respective floor levels and dumping to common compost bin.

Key features of Central Garbage chutes

  • Manufactured using various materials SS304, SS430, G I & Aluminized steel.
  • Cleaning sprinklers equipped at each intake level are wide angled, adjustable and have high pressure disinfectant spraying capacity
  • Control panel operated cleaning operation in garbage room
  • Advanced Exhaust system that provides minimum 20-40 air changes/hour
  • 90min fire rated hoppers (UL labelled)
  • Selection from a range of diameters & Hopper sizes
  • Fire sprinklers at 68ᵒ C are provided inside the chute
  • Fire rated doors which are manually operated and automatically closed

Standard chutes are designed in line with NFPA 82 with the following criteria

  • 90 min fire rated 10B chute type doors (UL labelled)
  • UL Listed Controller for the chute systems are mandatory
  • Control Panel for the chute system should follow UL 508A

Interlocking Chutes

Interlocking Garbage chute system is an advanced version of Standard Garbage chute system.

Key features of Interlocking chutes

  • Ensures safety by following ‘one user at a time’ policy.
  • Hence only one intake hopper can be used at a time.
  • When an intake hopper in a particular floor is operating, the rest shall remain locked with busy indication, in all other floors.
  • As a safety measure for operation and maintenance team, all floor intake hoppers remain locked while cleaning
  • Auto closing hoppers for convenience
  • UL Labelled Controller in Chute System for safety purposes.
  • Hoppers are fire rated

Our Interlocking garbage chutes are designed in line with NFPA 82/ BS 1703 with the following criteria

  • 90 min fire rated 10B chute type doors (UL labelled)
  • UL Listed Controller for the chute systems are mandatory
  • Control Panel for the chute system should follow UL 508A

Segregated Chutes

Segregated garbage chute system employ fully automated segregation of garbage.

Key features of segregated chutes

  • The operations of the Central Chutes are designed to meet the current municipal requirements for the separation of garbage into ‘dry’ (recyclable) and ‘wet’ biodegradable garbage.
  • The Central Chutes enable the fully automated segregation of garbage from multiple floor buildings using a single chute.
  • To ensure efficiency; the Central Chutes operate ‘one user at a time’, and the intake hoppers are locked by default.

Operational Sequence

  • Press the ‘wet’ or ‘dry’ button to operate the Central Chutes.
  • The busy indicators and intake hoppers remain locked for all the other floors when the Central Chutes are being operated on a floor.
  • The Central Chutes can switch between ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ modes by rotating their flap doors. When the intake hoppers are operated the Central Chutes provide an indicator of the selected garbage mode.
  • The individual garbage bags are dropped down the Central Chutes to be disposed on a trolley, when the intake hoppers are opened manually.
  • The intake hoppers are then automatically set to close, and reset the system for the next garbage and trash disposal consuming a net change over time of 10 seconds.

Our segregated garbage chutes are designed in line with NFPA 82 with following criteria

  • 90 min fire rated 10B chute type doors (UL labelled)
  • UL Listed Controller for the chute systems are mandatory
  • Control Panel for the chute system should follow UL 508A

Accessories

Brush Cleaning System for Garbage Chutes

Periodic internal cleaning of the chutes is mandatory for a clean waste management operation. A high grade nylon brush is employed for this process which is raised and lowered to clean the internal cylindrical surface of the chute aided by a sprinkler that sprays water. A control panel is used to operate the brush, installed at the top of the chute, and preset the number of cleaning cycles. The brush has various sizes according to diameter of chute.

Odor Control System for Garbage Chutes

Foul odor produced by decomposition of garbage, at ambient temperatures, has to be curbed. For this purpose, efficient odor controlling systems are installed in air tight closed garbage rooms where the foul gas is masked and dissolved by a disinfectant liquid. The disinfectant liquid is dispersed in the air in very small particle sizes of 1-10 microns. These particles are attached to the molecules of odorous gases, which increases the weight of these molecules and they soon settle down and biodegrade.
